Overview

ASM1083 is a PCI Express-to-PCI Bridge allows for the use of PCI Bus with the high-performance PCI Express Network. As PCI Express systems proliferate, there remain many applications that do not need the extensive bandwidth nor performance features of PCI Express. With the ASM1083 many existing chips and entire subsystems can be used, without modification, with PCI Express motherboards.
