The PCIe x8 Mellanox ConnectX-5 Dual-Port 25G Ethernet Adapter Cards provide a high performance and flexible solution with two ports of 25Gb/s InfiniBand and Ethernet connectivity, low latency, and a high message rate, plus an embedded PCIe switch and NVMe over Fabrics offloads. These intelligent remote direct memory access (RDMA) -enabled adapters provide advanced application offload capabilities for high-performance computing (HPC), cloud hyperscale, and storage platforms.

RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE)

ConnectX-5 supports RoCE specifications delivering low-latency and high-performance over Ethernet networks. Leveraging data center bridging (DCB) capabilities as well as ConnectX-5 advanced congestion control hardware mechanisms, 

RoCE provides efficient low-latency RDMA services over Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks.
